There’s no doubt that some of the sexiest guys on the planet have been over 50 years old. Here are some of them.
The good news is, attractive older men aren’t as hard to find as you might think. All you have to do is get out there and make the most of your opportunities.
1. Hugh Jackman
A daredevil hunk with a gorgeous green eyes and fit physique, Hugh Jackman has become one of Hollywood’s most successful actors over 50. He has won Emmys and two Tonys, and his Wolverine franchise made him a household name.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Jackman began his acting career on stage in Australian musical theater productions, then made a splash with his sensational star-making performance as Curly in the 1998 London revival of Oklahoma! (filming for PBS).
His range has always been impressive, but it’s his role as a tortured antihero, Wolverine, that established him as a bankable action star. He has starred in a number of popular movies, including X-Men, Kate & Leopold, and X2 among others.
2. Nathan Fillion
One of the most recognizable faces on television, Nathan Fillion has a square jaw and twinkly eyes that make him one of TV’s most trustworthy figures. He’s a fan favorite for his work on cult Western sci-fi series Firefly and its spin-off Serenity, as well as on ABC’s Castle.
While he’s been in the spotlight for a long time, Fillion has always been relatively modest about his personal life. He doesn’t talk about his deafness, which he lost at six years old, and prefers to keep his personal life private.
Aside from acting, he’s also a voice-over artist. He’s lent his voice to popular video games such as Halo, as well as Robot Chicken and American Dad! He also co-founded the Kids Need to Read charity.
3. Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks has starred in many popular films over the years. He has become known for his cheerful everyman persona and is often referred to as Hollywood’s nice guy.
A happy-go-lucky actor, Hanks is also a talented performer with a range of dramatic and comedic roles. He has won two Academy Awards, for his work in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump.
He has starred in several hit movies and is one of the top actors of all time. He is also known for his ability to portray characters with serious problems.
4. Bruce Willis
He’s been in the industry for over 30 years, and he’s still a top-tier actor. He’s played wisecracking or hard-edged characters in spectacular action films that have collectively grossed over 2.5 billion dollars.
He got his start in gangster flicks, but after a breakout role in Pulp Fiction, he found his calling in science-fiction and time-travel movies like 12 Monkeys and The Fifth Element (1997). Willis’s cocky charm and lethal physicality mingled with his sensitive side in The Sixth Sense, the 1999 thriller that made him an over-the-top movie star.
He’s since morphed into a more generic, hard-pressed macho hero, most famously as John McClane in the Die Hard franchise. He also played a retired assassin in Red and Red 2 in the 2010s, but even those parts didn’t bring him back to his earlier screen selves.
5. John Stamos
John Stamos is a screen heartthrob who’s best known for his work on General Hospital and Full House. He has also appeared in Broadway productions and toured and recorded with The Beach Boys.
He and actress Caitlin McHugh tied the knot in February 2018 and welcomed a son two months later. Their relationship began on the set of Law & Order: SVU, where they met, but it wasn’t until a few years later that they decided to get married.
On the first anniversary of Bob Saget’s death, Stamos paid tribute to his longtime co-star in a statement. They shared a special bond during their years together on Full House, and their friendship continued after the show’s end.
